Jane Emke seeks to renew the Nearly New clothing shop in Louisville

With its racks of designer clothes, shoes, handbags and other items − all donated − the Nearly New Shop is one of the best-kept fashion secrets in town, according to the Louisville section of the National Council of Jewish Women.

Located on the lower level of the Mid-City Mall in the Highlands, the 24,000-square-foot store has “gently used” men’s and women’s clothing − ranging from formal wear to workout wear − children’s garb, accessories, furniture, jewelry, china, glassware and even tools and office equipment.

Proceeds support the advocacy work of the organization, which focuses on child and family welfare, including a major fundraising campaign it led to reopen a Family Recovery Court in Louisville for parents and children affected by drugs and alcohol.
